Get me out and away from the cities this summer!

I worked at Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs way back in 1992 and 1993. Just turned 40 (yikes). I need to escape the city this summer. Looking at Denali Alaska, Glacier National Park, even returning to Yellowstone. Any would be good. Anyone work for Aramark, GlacierPark, Inc.? Thanks in advance. Jay

If you are looking to play in the Black Hills during the day and work at night, they are looking for some night security. It pays better than the other daytime positions. Uhm, you know, older and bolder... We checked out Glacier for the coming summer, but the season was just too short for us. We worked at Mesa Verde for Aramark in 2007. We didn't have any problems with Aramark as a parent company, but Mesa Verde had some major issues in 2007. We couldn't really recommend Mesa Verde. (Especially if you are in Food & Beverage.) Permalink Reply by Governor on March 15, 2008 at 9:11am: I am at Mesa Verde this season (here right now, in fact) and so far, so good. Of course, I'm in retail, not F&B. But everyone is very nice and it's a beautiful park. And I have worked for ARAMARK before with no real issues beyond what you get at every park.
Anyway, Mesa Verde has new leadership this season so there must have been changes since last year. I'm loving it!; ▶ Reply to This

There are some great places in AK that are great for escaping and enjoying everything that the state has to offer. Some of the well-known tour companies operate in some of the more remote, yet still accessible by road, locations throughout the state. Take a look at the Copper Center area, Valdez or Talkeetna. They are some beautiful areas with great opportunities.
