I'm interested in working on the railroad up in AK, I've talked to some of the guys that worked for princess and it sounds like hard work but plenty of cash. Anyone know sum bout dis?
No, but I'm looking possibly to do the same... I did check out the ESS Alaska railroad site, but they didn't have much info up. One thing I did notice is that they have options for schedules that are 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, 4 weeks on/2 weeks off. If you find any more info out, please pass the word on to me! Thanks!
Yes, I know plenty of people who have worked on the trains. They do work hard long days, but they usually work 4 days and then get 3 days off. Sometimes the hours are 12 hour shifts, but that gives you time to play too.
