Living & Working in Great Places

How soon would you say is too soon regarding applying for work starting in late October/early November?
I am hoping to get a retail supervisor position. I have 20+ years experience in retail and received (unofficial) supervisor training on the job at GCSR.
I will be at GTLC until early October and would like to have something lined up quickly within 3 weeks of my end date.

I think the real question is how late is too late. I think that you should give HR a break and let them get through the summer hiring crunch and then start contacting them. Lets say mid-June for the Teton area. For a supervisor position, you might want to have something nailed down by early September.

On the other hand, I have gotten some of my best supervisors late in the hiring process ofter someone has dropped out. Go figure.

Job hiring fairs will be held by the GTLC during August for those that are interested in continuing their careers with other company owned facilities. You can also start looking for jobs in nearby Jackson at the end of the season as they will be plentiful...

Welcome to GTLC - Hope you enjoy yourself here...

Hi Ann... what other facilities does GTLC operate and where?
I am still undecided what to do at the end of this season.
I want to settle down somewhere and perhaps not move so much seasonally!

I do know it will be retail work or arts related as those are my fortes

thanks
I'll be in Jackson tonite on the shuttle bus.

thanks for the job finding advice...I'm really not sure yet if I want to stay in Jackson (it looks do-able year round) or take my other route and move back to the beach

I'm holding off judgement for several weeks at least

have fun @ signal mountain
drop by my new thread for "what's shaking around GTLC?" so we can all keep up on what's happening in the area
