Has anyone been or going to Lake Hotel in Yellowstone?

I am headed to Lake Hotel at the end of the month and I am just wondering what to expect. What are the rooms like, is there anything I should bring that I am not aware of, what is the best cell phone service, and would really like to know what is everyday life like...etc. Just trying to get a heads up on anything i should know, and would appreciate any feed back.

Hey sorry I've never been there either so I don't have any answers for you, but let me know if you find out anything. The info they mailed us was kindof vague... are we allowed to have overnight visitors? My bro wants to visit for a few days but I have no idea what to tell him. Are you bringing a car? I have not decided if I want to or not

Lake Hotel is one of the Better locations in Yellowstone. Phone service suck! I had to drive around the lake a ways to get service. There is a makeshift frisbee golf course just up the hill from the dorm area. the rangers watch the bench at the 9th hole, so don't do any "smoking" there. The employee pub is kinda cool, good calzones! The EDR is ok, or at least it was two years ago. There is a lotta good hiking in that area, Hayden Valley is close by if you have a car. Lots of wolf watching goes on there. Bring some music for your room, it helps on rainy days. Unless your management you will share a room with someone else. Don't get a room at the end of the hall! People don't know how to close doors without slamming them. There is the occasional herd of bison in the employee area. Don't get too close. Beerbaseball at the ball field is a lotta fun. There are a few (kinda)organized games every season. People get together at the fire ring down by the lake at night. The park service will supply you with firewood for it. Just don't let anyone under 21 drink or everyone gets into trouble. I don't know what else to tell you. You'll just have to experience it yourself. Enjoy your summer, Ken
P.S. Would you Look up Bobby Reise ( he should be in the kitchen) and tell him that Ken got the sailboat so he needs to start walking. He'll explain.
