When I had a dorm there, I found that I went camping 3 or 4 nights a week anyway (tent or car camping). There will always be an "escape" if you need a break. Also, the hostel in Jackson is a nice place to take a day of.... cheers.

Clarene Law at The Antlers in Jackson used to give locals a break. She had a reasonable rate for those rooms that look out on the Steakhouse parking lot.
One block from Town Square.
I haven't been there in a while but it never hurts to ask.

thanks guys but I think you misunderstood...

I am not looking for places or ways to get away from the dorms... that was a minor "aside"

the reason for this post was to meet people who are also going to be working at JLL and to build a friend network before heading there next friday!
