Living & Working in Great Places

Hey guys!! I am new to all of this so i was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the best locations to work at during the summmer time! I am a second year student at GSU, but I am looking for a job next summer... I live in Georgia right now and am MORE than willing to travel Far away from home. I love the outdoors, hiking, nature, beautiful scenery, and most of all...wildlife of ANY kind!! I am obviously looking to make some money, but more than anything I am looking for an exciting UNforgettable summer experience...any suggestions on the best places to go!?? Also, remembering that I am a 19 yr old college student... what are the best places for maybe a young Fun crowd??

Hi Tessa, I've worked in the parks and for private ranches the last few years. I prefer the ranches. Wages tend to be higher and the gratuity is built right into the guest bill so you always get tipped! Check out the ranch I'm working at right now, its called The Lodge at Sun Ranch. I know we will be hiring for next season in Housekeeping, waitstaff, guest services, and other jobs might open up like our naturalist position. The latter probably appeals to you most because of your "zoobug". This place is tops on my list out of all the hospitality jobs I have worked. The crowd tends to be a little older than you,,, but I'm sure you can have fun. Well feel free to ask for my advice, and enjoy that southern summer heat, its only like 75 today here!

Sounds like a national park is up your alley if you're into wildlife. Try the Grand Canyon National Park. That's far and as wildlife as wildlife will get. It's a young crowd here as well. I'm from SC which is GA neighbor and AZ is far!!!! So look into working at the Grand Canyon National Park. Good Luck!!!!
