Howdy Tribe!   I did my last minute doctor checkups this week in preparation for my departure for Colorado.   I figured everything would be routine as usual.   Well ..... not this time.  I was told by my primary care physician (PCP) that I actually had a hernia, and he highly suggested I have it "fixed" before I leave.  Bottom line .... I have surgery at 11:15am on Monday, April 18.   Please keep me in your thoughts as I go through maybe the third operation in my lifetime.   I'd be lying to say I wasn't just a little nervous.  I hate it when they knock me out.   But I have been assured by doctors and friends that this is absolutely routine ..... they fix hernias all the time ... no big deal.  Well, I hope so as Ranger Rich is suppose to report for duty May 8 :-)

Wow, Richard!  The lesson here is...well, flexibility rules. Another interesting experience for you!  Take notes. All of these things make for an  exciting life. Take lots of notes!
We want pictures!! Just think Aggie, after the surgery, they put you with nurses!!  Best of luck, buddy. Will be thinking of you.
Good Luck Aggie . I suppose the stress and physical exhaustion of the packing list carnival has caught up with you old man . Another old chap I am acquainted with gained 2 inches in height and a wonderful falsetto singing voice after his bargain surgery in Delhi ! I jest and wish you a speedy recovery. I pray your recovery nurse is not Hairy Marvin .

You gonna post your packing list for the hospital stay?

Just kidding, get back on your feet soon and enjoy the rest of the summer.

I am obviously taking this a lot more seriously than my "friends" here on My Coolworks .... well, while you'all are yucking it up on Monday, they'll be cutting me open like a tuna can (Whoppeeee!)   I may be back on Tuesday.
I know how nerve racking being under can be. Ive had 4 surgery's before and have opted for a local anesthetic any chance i got. But its not it was 20 years ago not even 10 years ago. They've become very good at putting people out and you have nothing to worry about except bad hospital food. Good luck and enjoy having your ass on view to the world.

I will be praying for u aggie:)

Thanks Jackie ... I'll be dreaming of cheeseburgers @ Canyon while they're fixing me up
Hey Aggie- Hope you get better soon so you can get to your Ranger Rich "gig" on schedule. We are all excited about hearing reports of your adventures this sumer. I have already started my adventure as I have been in Grand Teton National Park for 2 weeks and I love it! Terry
Terry ...well I guess you got the top bunk then :-)  Tell Carol to hurry up and get there!

Hey Richard!  Sorry to hear about the surgery!!  I know it is not anything we ever want to do, but they will have you ship shape in no time!  Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and look forward to hearing good news from you asap!!

Warren had that happen back in 99.  Was in and out in no time.  Take care!!

Bring your laptop to the hospital so you can chat with us Monday night!

That hernia came from packing, has to be!

Ok, seriously, Ranger, this will be a minor detail on your way to fame, this summer.

best wishes, looking for a full hospital report when you're finished giving them grief
