Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to where to live or what job to do. I can do about anything, just wanted to hear some testimonials. Thanks.
You need to look up www.gtlc.com for alot of seasonal jobs that they hire for and they have housing available. Complete the application and email them. They of course are one of the concessionaires for Grand Teton National Park and hire 1000 employees. Can't give you a testimonial as this will be my first summer there.

Hello, I worked for the Ranch Inn Motel in downtown Jackson last year. I did two jobs, maintenance and front desk. They were pretty kool to work for. The location was neat if you want to be in downtown. Lots of tourist and activities going on. Nice Mtn biking and hiking trails right at the edge of town.
If your looking for a rustic experience then it would not be for you as the motel is smack in downtown jackson. I found it a neat experience though. I worked but management wasn't slave drivers if you know what i mean. Any other questions just ask me, take care and good luck.

The housing situation, well, the motel has apartments in the basement of the motel. Each person had their own bedroom, but shared a common area such as the kitchen and living room. The rooms were good enough for me, one of the apartments was actually quite nice. The other rooms weren't as nice but were livable. I was hiking/biking and cruising around town most of the time anyhow. The cost was 30 dollars a week last summer. I think the rent goes up to 50 bucks a week during the winter months. The starting pay was about 8 bucks an hour DOE. The roommate i had were all american and were basically decent people. The international college students lived away from the motel about a mile away in apartments. What roommate you get depends on management, or luck of the draw so to speak.
The manager's name is Cindy Carson and is a decent old gal to work for. If u show up on time and do your job they will basically leave u alone. Anyone other questions let me know........Ted
