Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
The title says it all. I'm looking for something more stable that seasonal but that also offers on site housing.
DNC has year round employment in the Grand Canyon South Rim. They have amazing housing for employees as well. Some of the best seasonal housing I have come across.
Grand Canyon Village?
I think most of the year round employers on CoolWorks have on-site housing.
Let's see...Yosemite (DNC and Evergreen), Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Death Valley (Xanterra, Stovepipe Wells, Panamint), Grand Canyon South Rim (Xanterra and DNC), Big Bend, several ski resorts have year-round opportunities too.
Thank you, Keith.
Big Bend National Park in Texas does
Quite frankly, I've never heard of a Park that didn't have year-round employment and housing opportunities. When I was incarcerated in Sequoia and Zion, off-season jobs often went begging. They couldn't find enough people to fill available positions. In both cases, they had to resort to recruiting from homeless shelters. Where exactly have you worked?
I worked at Glacier National Park during two different seasons. The only year round positions they had were corporate. The season there was from May to October.
Go south, young man.
I'm already south! Haha! I'm looking for mountains or beaches. I applied at The Grand Canyon and may try Death Valley, haven't done the desert yet. That 84 degree high temp at the South Rim looks nice and inviting.
It gets pretty cold at the South Rim in the winter.
I can handle the cold, I'm trying to avoid the 100+F temps and 80+% humidity.
