I was wondering when is the best time to apply for Summer jobs? I am very active on the coolworks page however, I am not getting a sure answer, I assume every company is different. Please give me advice and your experiences as well. This is very new and exciting to me, I'm trying to do my research and trying be smart about everything while job hunting.
I am aware of this page- https://www.coolworks.com/resources/the-best-time-to-apply/
However, I was confused as to when to apply, I would say as early as October?
Any other information would be great as well, thanks in advance.
When to apply depends a lot on where you want to apply. There are some places that begin to look for the next year as soon as the current year is over.
Most companies, however, are like what the linked page says: January through March is generally the busiest recruiting window for summer opportunities.
So, yes, there will be some as early as October. There will be some as late as opening. There will be some mid-season.
I would always start applying December 1.
I've been doing resort work for years and that seems
like a good time to hit your best picks.
Elizabeth: The summer job's process for hire is during December January times. And the best advice is to apply for housekeeping or food service job's. They seem to process the applications right away. South Rim Grand Canyon is year round along with Colorado ski resorts year round. Also feel free to do many applications about 5 or 6 at other locations. It's time well worth the effort if hired. I noticed in the resort area's with no housing Indeed.com have seasonal jobs. Also when summer is half over they hire more people at seasonal resorts and parks. So always check back with them after the summer starts. The best place I noticed has been North Rim Grand Canyon. Been working for them 2008 August through October. My last seasonal job is Big Bend West Texas 2010. Been working four times in Alaska. Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. So I had my share of seasonal jobs.
