Dealing with climate change, elevation, and time zone differences.

This was kind of mentioned on Facebook. I don't know if there are posts up here already about it. Do any returners have any tips for us newbies on adapting to changes? I know it will be different for me going to Yellowstone because I live in an area where it is sea level, humid, and the average winter temperature is 45. I know that is a drastice difference than Yellowstone. Any tips no matter what your work location is for adapting to changes?

Thanks for the tips! I live near the beach so I am at Sea Level. I live about a 4 hour drive from the mountains. And yes, I know all about sinus issues in humid climates. I suffer badly from them. I can't imagine snow taller than a car! I don't think I ever remember seeing any snow deeper than a couple of inches...

The higher the elevation the more quickly water vapor evaporates from the lungs...it's basically dehydrating you from the inside...that's why drinking more water works.  There are noticeable jumps at 5000 ft, 7500 ft, and every additional 1000 ft.

for me i drink about a gallon a day for the first month and i have 3 things of chap stick. but take it easy the first week or so walk around with a wattle bottle and if you feel winded rest and drink some water.
