Living & Working in Great Places

So, I moved to Montana to go to school and ski powder... I love the powder part, but school just sucks...
I know i should stay in school for my future and blah blah but i just want to ski while I'm young! I have a perfect job for just ski bumming it here, i know i can do it. The thing is my parents...
They have dished out a lot of dough for me to be here, they do very well so they can afford it, but I feel like I'm wasting thousands of their dollars...
Anyway this is my dilemma.
If you're in school and you don't know what you want to do while there - aka deciding a major - then a break may be a good thing. If you can set aside the dollars to do it in the future when you're more dedicated that's great too. There's nothing wrong with waiting until later. However, if you're like me, I wanted to get it done and move on. A lot of upper level jobs require the college degree, and it generally doesn't matter which one.
Good luck deciding! If skiing is your thing, maybe focus on that for now and when spring comes, get back into school. Also, you may be able to take at least a class a quarter to keep engaged a bit.
Oh, and you're very lucky your folks are helping you!
You should tell your parents how you feel about it. To me it sounds like you should leave school for now, you can always go back later (or not), but yeah if they've been paying for your school it might not be fair to them. Maybe you can pay them back eventually?
