Nice list .... some suggestions....

* Make the fishing pole collapsible if you are flying - they actually sell poles designed to breakdown (both spinning and fly rods).   Cheaper to buy this at home rather than in the park.

* Cutback on number of clothes items - don't take more than 2 of anything except underwear.  For outer wear take only one of each item (such as sweatshirts).   I would emphasize fleece over other materials.....light and warm.

* walking stick not needed if flying.

* one pair of each shoe type if flying.

Try to limit number of luggage pieces, and be certain you pre-weigh suitcase at home so you know you are under weight limit.

I bought this backpack last year. Used it for my flights last June to NH, and then again for a trip to D.C

Couple little pockets to stuff socks, deodorant, and t-shirt in too.

I just had to take the laptop out when I went through security and put it in those airport bins to slide it through the x-ray thingy.
