hey David, I worked at Many Glacier Hotel last summer. I was a server at the dining room. Out of the three seasonal jobs in national parks I've had so far, this was definitely the best. Great location (a bit remote, but if you enjoy hiking, you'll love it there), a nice mix of people from all around the world and a good pay. I'm supposed to be at Lake McDonald this summer which isn't bad, but I'd definitely prefer to go back to Many if the dining room wasn't closed for summer..
Thanks Eva!! I was hired as a server in the dining room. I hope that the dining room is going to be open this Summer!! The remoteness sounds wonderful. Is going to be nice to get away from reality for awhile
Well, you're definitely in for a treat! Many Glacier is the most beautiful remote corner of the world ;) But be aware - there are lots of bears around, sometimes you can even see them from the dining room walking around the lake. You get used it after a while but it's funny to watch customers go all crazy about them, never mind the hot meal right in front of them ;)
However, I'm surprised to hear that you were hired to work at the dining room, I thought it was going to be closed due to reconstruction..The bar and Interlaken lounge will stay open though, so I guess they'll put you there. Either way, good luck and enjoy your summer!
