Living & Working in Great Places

Has anyone worked at Sol Duc Hot Springs in Washinton?

If so, what's it like? Can I live out of my RV?

I have worked there, I believe you can live in your RV as there is a RV park. If you do live in your RV you will h ave a MUCH better time then in employee housing.

The people who run Sol Duc are amazing and fun.

I had a really bad experience last year but it's not the norm.

You can def live in your RV and they may even want you to be the RV Camp Host. I don't think the old ones are coming back. They were kinda older and fuddy-duddies and I think we partied too much for them to keep their sanity.

Dude, I can't give Sol-Duc a high enough recommendation. It may seem weird at first with the tight living quarters, small lounge, and the fact that you are in the middle of f-ing no-where. But after a couple weeks you'll fall in love. Amazing landscape. Great hiking. Fun parties. You'll become friends with people that in any other situation, you'd never think twice to talk to. The small staff size and living quarters force you into an immediate family. Its really chill at the beginning and end of the season and a chaotic shit show during the high season. You'll be an hour and a half drive from the most gorgeous beach ever, Second Beach. Victoria, BC is just an hour drive plus a ferry ride away. You have the best hot tubs in the world in your backyard, and they close to the public at 9:00. That means you have full reign over them at nighttime. No managers anywhere to be found at night, so some stupid shit definately goes on, but that's what you're there for right? If you want to get to some natural hot springs, forty minutes away is the Olympic Hot Springs with sweet campgrounds. Hike the Seven Lakes Basin. Hike the Hoh. Overnights are the way to go. Seattle is three hours away and you've got to go to the Capitol Hill Block party. Any more questions? I'll be glad to answer. Give Pam a hug for me.
