Anyone have any experience with any? I am going up 10-14 days early just because I can and am looking for some insight. At the moment I am leaning towards Brownies.

Yeah Brownies is a pretty cool place, cabins if i remember correctly? Plus a little convenience store/sandwich shop & 3 or 4 internet computers. I think there is another hostel over on the other side of the train station in East but I can't remember.
Be aware that if you're heading up before the season starts there wont be a whole lot open since its pretty much a ghost town in the winter, first time i went there Brownies had just been open a day & hadn't recieved much of their stock in yet & menu options were limited. Everything else in town except for the gas station was still closed, & Going to the Sun Road wont be open until June probably. Stock up on stuff in Browning if you can.
We stayed at the Backpackers Inn, in East Glacier 406-226-9392, ask for Pat or Renee Schur, in 2004. Not sure if they are still there. They are across the tracks, and down a little side road. There are bunks, and then, a seperate room with private bath. The bunks were like 10 bucks a night.
