Living & Working in Great Places

Ok I know I said I was going to break from the seasonal, but hell, who can pass up Yellowstone. Anyvie, I just got a confirmation E-mail from Yellowstone saying they recieved my application. Oh please let me go home to the best national park in the world. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ok I am taking a break actually for the winter, which I always do, but come next summer maybe I will be back where I belong.

Hopefully, I will be nearby. If not Yellowstone, I want the Grand Tetons.

TETONS are awsome too. I would love to work there as well, Maybe at like Jackson Lake or Jenny Lake lodge or that one resort that Forever runs .

yah know so did I for years they through me into hsk, so I finally told them fine if yur going to throw me in there at least put me in a new location and and let me do a different job in hsk. So they did they made me houseperson and at old faithfull lodge. I actually liked that better then any of the other jobs.

Signal Mountain Lodge is owned by Forever Resorts and is the only lodge right on Jackson Lake. You couldn't ask for a better company to work for.

thanks Carrie, thats the one I was thinking of. I heard nothing but good from that place over the years. I heard the people were great, the pay was decent and the things to do. Well look where it is located so obviously. Tetons and that whole area are just heaven.

wahoo, the thread was featured, see coolworks knows where the best place is.

that the only thing i dont like about yellowstone that they throw u into postion that u didnt apply for cause that there they need the most help

Reply to This

yeah, but they can't do that unless you say it's OK first. I've been working there for a while now and one time I couldn't get one of the three jobs I chose when I applied. They offered me a job in the kitchen and I called to ask why and they said that I'd checked a box that I'd take a kitchen crew job if I could not get one of the ones I asked for. Sure enough, that's what I'd done.

Otherwise, they don't randomly throw you into a job you aren't expecting. There actually is a pretty good system. It's just really big and takes a few weeks to get it done sometimes.

Dang. I just realized that I checked that box. Oh well.
