Hey there! I'm finishing up finals week soon here at Earlham College in Indiana and heading out to Lake Yellowstone to work as a hostess... My questions are for the runners and outdoorsy folks of Yellowstone. How safe is road and trail running in the park? Are there any running groups? Any races throughout the summer? I want to train for cross country in the fall and am wondering how much I'll be able to run. Are there any gyms close to Lake Yellowstone?

There may be a fitness room at lake location. As for the running, Im sure theres a few trails for that. As for the roads not sure how the running would work out with all the wildlife out and about. I guess to go for it and watch out for the wildlife.  I'm gonna try to get into shape myself this summer, by doing more waking and ect.

Me and a friend will be working at the lake area this summer, we are both looking to get back into our former shapes >.>. We plan to start up running/jogging again especially with the high altitude. If you're looking for some people to start running with let me know, me and my friend will be in Yellowstone on May 8th.

From what I understand there is a gym at lake Yellowstone, I believe its located at lake lodge. There should be plenty of areas to run and train.

Great! Thanks everyone! :)

Like my friend Tony already said we plan on running/jogging when we get there i was going to bring my awesome cool reflector belts so i don't become road kill! haha

yah yah!! See ya'll there.
