Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
I have been doing seasonal work since April of 2010 and I have been lucky enough quite a few times to land a room to myself with no roommate and I am just curious what resorts that are out there where you have been have single rooms for employees if that is what you choose for the summer?
basin harbor in VT and badlands cedarpass lodge
I both had single rooms
you can negotiate I'm both places
Mount Washington Hotel have single rooms but they aren't very nice.
Copper Mountain has single rooms but you only get them if you have been employed their for a couple of years.
Yeah I worked at Copper Mountain for two winters and I had a roommate the first winter that was not around that much and the second winter I had a room to myself. No desire to really go back to Copper though.
Unless it's changed since the 2011-2012 season, Winter Park Resort has single rooms for some employees at the hotel across the street, but since it's hotel style there are no cooking facilities, and there is no meal plan. I think they cost about $400/month, which is pretty decent for a ski town.
I think I remember reading that Telluride has similar housing, single rooms but with no kitchen.
I worked at Telluride as well and they have single rooms and its $600 a month but you get $200 back each month since you work for the resort. Pretty decent sized rooms, microwave and mini fridge, not that bad and no kitchen facilities.
I am more looking for a summer resort place for single rooms.
Vermejo Park Ranch has some single room accommodations.
