I'll be working in the kitchen this summer was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on comfortable, acceptable kitchen shoes? Looking for any suggestions or feedback from anyone that is like myself and wants to have a comfortable or halfway decent pair of shoes.
I think I might have these shoes or similar ones. I bought them at payless for cheap cheap. Solid black, non-slip, ugly as sin but I have been wearing them to work for one year and they could probably go another year. They have held up extremely well. Just make sure the fit is good and like some one else said break them in. Don't try to start your first day off with new shoes.. that could be a painful mistake.
Whatever kind you get break them in good, I get the solid black ones which is generally acceptable but get a good pair of insoles which might cost 1/2 the price of the shoes but well worth it because it seems all shoes have cheap or essentially no insoles. Kitchens are vary hard on shoes went through expensive pairs as fast as cheap ones.
i have a pair of the slip on no back shoe from wally world. they dont slip, pretty comfy, last near forever and only cost me $16 two years ago. I'm going to wear them in the kitchen again this season too.
oh, I also have spilled boiling water of the top of the shoe. I didn't even feel anything. I know lots of peeps don't like wally world, but a good deal is a good thing.
