Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
I'm choosing between a summer job (as a housekeeper) at Canyon Village in Yellowstone and at Jackson Lake Lodge at the Grand Tetons. I have never been to either place so I do not know which I'd prefer. If any of you have worked at either place I would love some general information about the work environment and experience. (right now I'm leaning towards Yellowstone because I have always wanted to go there)
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Bailey I would vote for the grand Tetons... easier to get to and since you would be next door to Yellowstone, actually easy to explore. Of course, I am biased as I lived at Jackson Lake Lodge for two years. Where ever you decide, I bet you will enjoy the experience! Happy trails.
i'm kinda in the same situation as you even though i work at both places i can give you a little insight at canyon the edr is the basement kinda like the dungeon the employee pub is very small at canyon don't know much about the dorms there ,at GTLC the dorms or OK its but its all number if you a partier then dorms 1- 7 is for you 8 is all male 10 is all females 11,12 is pretty much the quiet dorms, as Brenda mention before u will move in housekeeping and they will train you too just listen to what they have to say and you will do fine and the edr in Jackson lake the food is OK but less then desirable most people go the employee bar to eat the food is a little better, but one thing about Jackson lake i like they charge less then Yellowstone and they doing something different this year they offering end of the season bonus which they didn't last year
