Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

My girlfriend and I are seriously considering getting a summer seasonal job in Colorado. We both smoke and drink a little but we want to be able to have fun while we have days off. We are both very hard workers I went to culinary school and she does office work. I was wondering what would be a good place to start out at where we can have fun and would be a good transition into the seasonal job lifestyle any suggestions?

Good for you and finding someone that will come with you and has similar passions. Since you have gone to culinary school, you really do not need a seasonal job...many of the national parks are looking for cooks sesonal and career. And if she has office experience, that's easy too. What will really broaden your seasonal options is knowing how to do other things. Like horse back riding, skiing/snowboarding, rafting. But you will undoubtedly pick one of these up after you are already out there--that's the hardest part. I'm trying to get the heck out of illinois myslef--hate it here. So good luck!
Hey guys Im from Illinois too so I feel your pain! ;) My first seasonal job was in California at Stanford Sierra Camp. ( www.stanfordsierra.com ) And that was a great spot. But there is also TONS of other places here on Cool Works that are really cool and most of them will tell you right on their application what kind of hours you will work plus other details of living and working there. Both of the jobs that you are looking for are quite abundant in the seasonal world and you should have fairly good luck. Check out my website for a little more help.... http://www.outdoortravellife.com Have fun and good luck!
