You have absolutely no--zip, zilch, nada, none--chance of being able to bring pets of any kind into employee housing. And why should you be able to? Why should the other employees be expected to put up with your dogs?

If you want to find rental housing in the surrounding community while doing winter work, keep in mind that you'll likely be in a resort community/ski town where rental housing is at a premium, due to high demand, low supply, or a combination of both. Added to that, you'd have to find a place that was willing to rent to you even though you have pets. At best, you'd have to put up a double pet deposit, and/or pay higher rent.

What you are saying you want to do is a practical impossibility, unless you leave the dogs with someone else and go find work without them. An RV is a possible solution, but not a very practical one for cold country--RVs are badly insulated and make lousy cold-weather dwellings. Plus, your dogs would go stir-crazy (and freeze).

Actually, there are some places (and people) out there that are dog-friendly. This is a rude approach to take, don't you think? Unless you have worked at every single seasonal place out there, you can't possibly make a judgement like this.

Check out Bozeman, MT. Lots of rentals that allow pets. Plenty of restaurants. A few ski areas close - Bridger Bowl, Big Sky, Moonlight Basin, Yellowstone Club.

I heard working for Xanterra as a manager, you can have a pet. I would double check on that but that is what I heard. I don't know if you can have 2 though. Hope I helped. Good luck!

Oh yeah, this is in Yellowstone (Old Faithful) by the way. I don't know about other properties.

I worked at three different guest ranches out west. There was at least one employee with a dog in each place and the owners had dogs, too. That might be a good place to look- they were all nice places to work. A lot of them have a summer and winter season, with some time off in between seasons and some nice perks. If you are interested in specific recommendations let me know. Good luck!
