Hey guys,
Was wondering if there any any places to work on the coast of Oregon that offer room/board? I can't find much except for small state parks that probably wouldn't offer housing.
Any ideas?

There aren't many private resort properties on the Oregon coast, in part due to a law that says the beach, defined as twenty feet above the high tide line down to water's edge, is all public land. Therefore, the seasonal employers you need to look at for the summer are Oregon State Parks, and the BLM. There are also some federal jobs up by Astoria at the Lewis & Clark National Historical Park; those MIGHT offer housing.

Housing is hard to find because in the summer, the coast is absolutely overrun with visitors; it's usually impossible even to find a campsite on a summer weekend. That, and the fact that the towns along the coast are not very big, means that seasonal jobs, as a rule, only offer RV spaces, if anything, for employee housing.

I would suggest trying private employers in Lincoln City, Newport, Florence, or Coos Bay, which are the biggest towns along the coast and would have a decent choice of rental housing, which would be pretty inexpensive compared to other resort areas. Of course, you would have to take care of your own room and board, but I think that's pretty much the only option.
I know its not on the coast but there is Crater Lake (xanterra I believe) they say they have housing.
there are always private campgrounds on the oregon coast that are looking for campground host as well as state parks. you would have to have a trailer or RV of your own. there are also a lot of locals that get most of the jobs at resorts due to there being high unemployment along the coast and they allready live there. i would check out craigslist, every once in a while jobs post up on there. rents can a very reasonable along the coast if you don't need anything to fancy and on the beach.
