I was thinking about working at a fish processing plant this Summer and would like to hear from anyone here who has worked at a fish processing plant before. Do you advise it? What can I expect?
Thanks for the information.
I "rescued" a Romanian girl who had the misfortune to start in one of those places and let her live on my boat while she ended up doing a food-service job. I strongly recommend against working the seafood processing.... bluntly put, it is the worst job you can get in Alaska. Laws have been passed in several places making it illegal to hire foreigners, but the conditions are horrible and the pay is minimum wage.
