Welcome Roland! I still have "noob-ish" questions, even after all my  years of photography. Still learning tons.... Getting out and shooting is how I learn best.

..on the news front, my lens is working again YAY! it's a good basic and I'm glad I don't have to lay out money for another one at this time.

Sup all. Wanted to drop some love for this group. I'm a newbie photographer and about to head off to YNP this summer. I have a rather old setup but I look forward to learning the in's and out's of my 300D. Hope you guys don't mind the occasional (and possibly noob-ish) questions!

Keith, that sounds great! I love the canon camwras in that line-- 35x really? If the resolutions good at 35 x, WOW!

Recently picked up a new Canon.  Haven't gotten around to playing with it much.  It's the SX30IS.  14 MP and an optical zoom of 35X.

I NEVER GET ENOUGH OF TAKING PICS EVERYWHERE,,I SHOULD OF TOOK UP PHOTO GR.IN COLLEGE.,BUT DIDN'T,,INSTEAD I TOOK UP WELDING TECH,,IN WHICH IT'S A FORM OF ART TO..I DISPLAYED THINGS I WORKED ON OPEN HOUSE SHOWS,,I EXPLAINED TO PPL WHAT WAS WHAT,,,N IOVED IT....ART IS BEAUTIFUL.TO ME,,,TATOOS IS ART AND I LIKE THEM,,,,MINE IS NICE I SUPPOSE..--SOMETIMES I'M SHY R SHAME,B/C A FEW SAY THEY HATES THEM...I HAVE GOOD ONES SINCE 10 YRS. AGO--MY PHOTOS OF EM IS OK..!
