I've been in India, Himalayas and such, for about 7 years... and have managed a few projects. I've been at it for a while. Mainly via publishing and communications. Took computers to Central American in mid-90's, now that's a story.

Is there much demand for IT work in the National Parks? IT professional wanting to leave the rat race, and I'd be happy bussing tables in the great outdoors, but could a tech degree and IT experience get me something better?

Well since I am now living in Alaska I guess I qualify. Had a great day working out in the snow, and then a nice trip down to the russian river. Took some great pics, but my internet connection in my cabin is S O S L O W that it wont let me upload them. Maybe over the weekend I can seek out a spot that has better reception.
