Who has worked in the southeast? What did you do and what company did you work for? Would you work for them again? What was the housing like? Thanks!
I have worked in Denali before but not as an ATV guide. It is gorgeous up there but you will have to get use to all the daylight. Daylight is nice except for when it's 11 PM and you can't sleep because sunlight is shining on your eyes.
applied to work as ATV guide in Denali for summer of 2015. any tips or advice for a first timer? never been to Alaska, always wanted to go.
So still a little early, but I am starting to plan my trip north. I will be driving from the Seattle area to Denali, arriving prior to May 4th, flexible on dates other than having to be there by then. This will be a slow paced, comfy, and scenic drive in my 1973 converted house bus. I am still working on the finishing touches, but it sure will be a more comfy trip than in a car! I will have room for up to 5 people, tons of room for stuff, and can even fit your motorcycle, bike, kayak, or what have you on the trailer! Well behaved pets are welcome to join my 2 year old Alaskan Husky for the voyage as well. If you need a ride to Denali, or somewhere along the route, let me know, I am hoping to find a few folks to pitch in the equivalent of a one way plane ticket towards the diesel bill, but in return you will get a week of scenic adventure to brag about for a lifetime.
Decided to return to Cooper Landing for summer 2014.
I have a little less than 8 weeks of this summer left. Days off yet...Seward exploration, Halibut fishing, Kenai Backcountry Lodge, Train trip, maybe one more fishing trip. Probably my last season at this location.
I'll be looking for a hiking partner in and around Denali National Park. If you think you might be interested, then send me a note :-) I like slow and steady hiking while enjoying the scenery and taking a few photos. A 5-10 mile hike is about my limit on a day hike......usually shorter. I have bear spray :-) I've hiked with both guys and girls ... I'm a EEO hiker :-)
just officially got hired at the princess mt McKinley lodge working at the 20320 restaurant. I was wondering if anyone else has or is working there this summer.
