Not a tremendous selection of soda in fact I cannot remember seeing any larger size that 1 litre and since we get free soda at princess I really never bought any except for some jones every now and then. The best price is usually at Keiths Tesoro wich is in Healy about mile 249 on Parks Hwy they also have a limited general store and good hot dogs. There is another good restaurant just past dry creek called Roses, great burgers and breakfast.

David, what is the general store like? good price on soda's? what do you think about best gas station around denali if have mini store?

every few day's I would eat at Salmon Bake. guess it will be very cool having own car at Denali for whole summer.

Don't like to drink. like to spend money on day's off overnight at hotels with indoor swim pool and hot spa. watch fox news and have dominos pizza. is best for week in week out hard work. once every two weeks.

Bob, the salmon bake is basically a regular restaurant with a typical menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner and a busy busy bar late night, like really late night (300AM). As far as I know there are no discounts, Also if you go drinking there DO NOT RUN A TAB, pay for your drinks as you get them to avoid some major surprises. Another fun place can be Lynx Pizza with a nice active bar and a good selection of beer and spirits plus good pizza and sandwiches

Subway is across the street along with some good ice cream, a coffee shop and a good mexican restaurant with kick ass burritos.

For a change of pace you could visit the Totem which is 10 miles north of most hotels and across the highway from Princess housing. It's a local place and motel, service can be hit and miss and the bar can get crowded. Overall the food is OK.


Also if you are looking for package liquor you can find it along with limited line of food and toiletries. The Mountain View Liquor and Grocery store has a great selection of wine and hard stuff.

Ryans is right, stay away from the bar the first week try not to get caught up in the drama that will be going on.

Duane... you would like the long day light hours and the off hour activities with groups of co workers. River Rafting is fun and takes good 2 to 4 hours.

are you talking about V/a hospital? Quite possibly one in Fairbanks 2 hours away. The housing is not bad, dorm style! what is your position at the warehouse? that will determine what room type you get. There are two locations, across the highway from each other, the Homestead and the Stampede. Do you know where you are staying?
