Anyone ride a cyclo-cross bike?

Since I had such great responses for my last question, I thought I'd check with another toy I'm considering buying - a cyclo-cross bike.

I'm living in Patagonia, AZ and a lot of the riding here is mixed - dirt roads and paved roads. One of my favorite loops is 2/3 paved and 1/3 dirt. I have a road bike and a mountain bike, so for that ride I use my mountain bike. But those cyclo-cross bikes seem like they'd be just the ticket for around here.

Does anyone out there ride one? What kind of terrain do you ride it on? Any info would be great!
