Ive never been to Alaska but I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains at about 8500 feet. Summers here are a tad warmer than Denali where Ill be living but not by much.

Bring layers. A good shell for wind and rain. Some sort of thermal that breaths. Not cotton. A a fleece. If your going to be hiking or camping these things are essential. Im also brininging shorts and t shirts. I wouldnt wear T Shirts hiking because cotton does not dry if you sweat and if it gets sudenly cold your screwed. But they are good for lounging around town. Also bring a 20 degree sleeping bag. And a blanket.

Those are the most important things. As far as recreation just google what you think youll be into and get gear tips from there. Hiking boots and what not.

10.Something important that I forgot...Oh yeah, a fake Alaska I.D. for a larger fishing and crabbing limit.
11. Day Pack

15. Thermos
16. Duct Tape
17. Hot Sauce
18. Bear Spray if you want. I never needed it, thank God, but I made sure to whistle or sing while I was hiking. You can use a bear bell if you don't whistle or sing. Take one out of your christmas stuff and tie it to your pack. It's just a cow bell for people; don't wanna startle a bear.
19. Plus whatever camping gear you normally use.
20. A bug zapper tennis racket thingy.

Just remember that Alaska is WET! Everything is WET. Even fire is wet in Alaska. Waterproof your boots!
