I worked for GTLC last year at Jackson lake and it was nice. GTLC also owns Colter bay and Jenny lake. You'll learn to think of them like sisters. Jackson being the older one who has all the responsibilities and all the big bosses, Jenny as the baby who is spoiled and then Colter who is like the middle child who can get away with more because everyone is more focused on the other two. Overall it is fun and the Tetons are amazing.

Yeah, All the dorms at GTLC are different. They have some that are all one sex with sometimes 4 guys/girls to a room ( the rooms are bigger then ussally). Most are typical dorm style with two beds, a heater, then bathrooms down the hall. Others are the suite rooms with two rooms and a shared bathroom in the middle. It just depends. Personally I like the dorm style because you don't have to clean anything but your room. Someone else cleans the bathrooms, unlike the suit rooms where you have to clean everything.

Since you live in the national park they legally can't charge you rent but you pay in other ways. They have employee pubs but charge as much if not more then in the restaurants. So when your in town you might want to get stuff to keep in your room. Along with any alcohol if you drink. The pub only has a micro brew license so they only serve beer and bitch beer ( girlie drinks).

Also you will learn real fast that you get overtime until you work over 48 hours not 40. One nice thing is that when you do have time off you can take advantage of some of the activity's. Of course if they have space availability. You could go horseback riding, float down the snake river, fly fish, and all kinds of stuff. Plus you can get discounts in Jackson. I know that you can go on the gondola ride at Teton Village for free with your id. Some places in Jackson will give you discounts on white water rafting and all kinds of things you just have to ask.

Well I hoped I answered some of your questions. If you have anymore just ask.

Sarah

Also bring some cloths for all seasons because it will be cold when you get there ( it is above 7,000 ft.) and depending on how long you stay it will snow.

Hey guys,
In spite of my performance in my job interview this morning, it looks like I will be joining you all in the Tetons, specifically in the kitchen at Colter Bay.
From all I've heard, it sounds like hella fun. Free housing, all the attractions, I wanna see a bear! GTLC sounds like a much classier outfit than many on the seasonal circuit, IE Xanterrible,
I am super duper excited!

Sounds like it is going to be a great summer in the Tetons. Working here at Jenny Lake and rv living at colterbay. They do sound like they are a much better group to work for most of the others.
