Living & Working in Great Places

I never been to wyoming or the tetons . I have had some positive responses so far here about dornans. Now I have a few questions.

What should I bring and what shouldn't I bring?
At the end of my season, (oct 31st) what then? Where can I find winter seasonal work? and how early should I start applying?

How much do things cost in area? Where best place to rent a boat , ride a horse etc without braking my bank.

How do the locals treat you? Where do people hang out ? How are the police out there? ( I worked in gatlinburg TN for a sumer the cops were nazis there.)

Any other useful info anyone might have be appreciated thanks.

I think you'll like Jackson. Word of advice don't be stupid while parting in town, there is a hostel to spend the night if need be, and taxis. The cops are not bad for fear of harassing a person with higher influence, and everyone is there to have fun not make trouble. Jackson is very expensive they cater to the very wealthy, but you can find some deals. I have never worked at Dornans but most of the Resort around Jackson has employee bennies like river rafting, Yellowstone tours, Teton tours, discounts at stores in town, and some times you have to find your own fun hiking, camping, fishing, biking. Enjoy the summer all of Wyoming is a great place venture out side of Jackson ( Cody, Lander great place party with all the NOLS students, Lariame, even Pinedale, Upper Green River across the Union Pass).
