GC North Rim

Is anyone heading to the North Rim and looking to do some hiking in the area, along and in the Canyon and beyond?

I'm heading there myself, and I know there is loads of great hiking in the Arizona Strip area. I won't have a vehicle that can get out to remote trailheads, so am looking for potential hiking partners for hiking and backpacking trips out from the NR location, and possibly further afield if we have transportation.


I'm an experienced backpacker: completed the Florida Trail last winter, and the northern 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail last summer. I'm not an incredibly fast hiker, but usually cover 12 - 15miles a day with a full pack, though less mileage in very scenic places because I stop too often to take pictures. I'm also up for 1/2 day hikes, particularly to places for a nice sunset and a glass of wine to end the day.
