I'll be in West Glacier by May 2nd and I'd like to find some people (the more the merrier) to go with on some day hikes (5-15 miles). I walk about 2 mph and usually do moderate hikes with little or no scrambling. I don't chit chat much and I really like to take a lot of pictures and listen to my mp3, but unless it is a big group, or a bear/mountain lion free area, I forgo the music.

Ill be in East Glacier May 21st...we'll have to get together & look at schedules but I'd totally be down, I like the more moderate hikes as well...at least earlier in the season before I get my butt whipped into shape for the harder stuff! Music is a must on hikes for me, I have some small battery powered speakers I take with me so I dont have to have headphones on, but im thinking i would just use them for pit stops cuz i wouldnt want to be disrespectful to others out on the trail... I know if i went out there looking for peace & quiet I wouldnt want some yahoo blaring their tunes & ruining my hike. but yeah keep in touch!
I arrive East Glacier May 21st.....would love to get together....am fairly fit - work out 4 -6 days a week now and love hiking and exploring. My Ipod will sometimes accompany me and also my camera which I use a lot.
I am here, in West Glacier, MT, and I am ready to start walking. My days off are Thursday and Friday, so if anyone is up for some hikes on those days, give me a holla.
I am off to a good start! So far, The Old Ranger Station Trail (9 miles, 3 hours), Lake McDonald Trail (6.6 miles, 2.5 hours), and Avalanche Lake Trail (4 miles, 3 hours). Thursday is Red Eagle Lake Trail (15 miles). Have seen many, many deer, and four bears so far. Oh yeah!
Glacier NP ~ May be hiking/walking Swiftcurrent Lake Friday, 6/5, if anyone is up for it. I already have one other person who is very, very slow (maybe 1 - 1.5 miles an hour), so be prepared if you want to go. My goal is to get in as many different trails as I can over the summer.
Going to Glacier in September and looking for someone to share a vehicle with. Will be landing in Kalispell September 9th ('09), spending one night in a motel. Bring own tent, willing to share food expenses/ideas and hikes. I'm a photographer so hike slowly enjoying the vistas and views. Staying one week leaving Kalispell the 16th
