Living & Working in Great Places

first timer

well i should introduce myself...my name is brandon and i am from new mexico. this will be my first summer working out there with you guys and i have to admit i'm a bit nervous!!! i won't know anyone out there, but i hope to make friends fast. i've been away from home many times, but never doing any work like this.

i have no idea what to take. what to expect. nothing. i think and worry about it all the time!!! i'm glad i found out about this group. i hope you can all help me in figuring out what i should take and what i should expect.

i hope to meet some great people out there. i know i will :)

but if anyone has any suggestions on ANYTHING, PLEASE let me know because i'm at a loss...

I was born and raised in Weed NM, most people arent familiar with the town, but its 23 miles outside of Cloudcroft? Anyway! Just curious. This will be my second season at MPL and im STOKED! Its goin to be a good time. I assume youve gotten some advice by now on what to pack and such, if not let me know. Ill see what I can help you with! What department are you working in? I cocktail in the Grizz. Its basically fantastic. As far as being nervous about meeting people, dont be. Everyone really has no other choice than to meet as many people as possible because of our working and living arangements. Last year was my first season, and honestly Im thankful that I didnt have time to get nervous because I put in my application and was on a plane several days later. I can only imagine what I would have been like if Id had a few months to contemplate that I was about to be living in ALASKA?!?! But really, its so much fun!
