Living & Working in Great Places

Hi guys, man as a first timer and really getting down to the last week before I fly out from Chicago I... for the life of me can not think or figure out if I am forgetting anything any help?

Let's see, I refuse to check luggage so my duffle bag consists of ...
-Clothes (Think I have that part down)
-Notebook and pen/pencils (Incase some amazing idea flutters into my head)
-Juggling Gear (Hey you never know with an Alaskan back drop balls and poi could be fun in the wilderness)
-Computer and Cell (those are a given)
-Camera (and all the jazz that comes along with it
-Nintendo DS (oh yeah I got this down)

Hrmmm am I forgetting anything? I haven't been fishing in years and I figured I would leave my polar bear harness at home. Am I missing anything drastic before having to run around a WalMart in Alaska?

Ah, ok. I have a layover at O'Hare to MN then to Alaska. Joy. 3 planes, so once again, I will be running accross an airport, tis par for the course and tradition for me! I've done it on two continents now. :-)

You juggle? That's pretty nifty.

Where are you going to be working?

I will be working in the espresso bar fixing some hot delights to get everyone through their day ^_^ I come from Starbucks, Valos and Seattle's Best. So as long as I have the ingredients I can make about any drink :)!

I'm right up there with you, except I have no clue what to pack, where to pack it, and how much to pack. I wish you luck though. And in place of your polar bear harness, I suggest your grizzly bear harness. XD See ya up there!

I've got two words for you . . . . rechargeable batteries. They are an absolute lifesaver, I know from experience. LOL Otherwise, just random suggestions depending on what job you're doing, like super comfy shoes (probably 2 pairs), an extra set of whatever you need for your uniform (kind of a given, but it's amazing how you can stain things), and either on the way or after you get there, mosquito repellent. You may not need it immediately, but you WILL need it eventually. Otherwise, it sounds like you've got just about everything covered! See ya there!
