Finally getting to Yellowstone. I have been trying to get a job there for few years. Bucket list, you know. I hope all goes well and like it there. I will working EDR at Old Faithful Inn. Long journey, and weather is crazy so driving will be an adventure in itself. Coming from Maryland, so hope the trip goes well and without any incidents. Very excited to get there, and just sit back and say WOW.

Hiya gang! My first day in Gardiner. I got into last night. I spent the day wandering the town. I went to the local fishing shop and got my Montana fishing license. $70.00 for an out of state license. Fishing doesn't start in Yellowstone until Memorial day and the license there is $40.00. Yes, if you want to fish both areas you will need both, Yellowstone is in Wyoming. Things of note about Gardiner. There is a bar every 4th shop. However, there is no place to get a haircut or to have major work done on your vehicle (like a front end alignment) The road into Gardiner says 70mph. DO NOT DO THIS! There are Elk and Bison that cross the road all the time. I have a Full size Bronco and it still would not have won against these animals. Tomorrow I check in at Xantera, I'll let you know what to expect there. By the way, the only sign that you will see for Xantera is a "do not enter" sign.

The time has come. My bags are packed and repacked. Maps checked and rechecked. A 3,000 mile journey awaits me. I'm leaving NJ on the 18th and after several stops will arrive in MT on the 26th. I decided to stop at the Rock and Roll hall of Fame in Ohio and Mt. Rushmore in SD. I'll let you know how the check-in goes and such. I'm sleeping less and less,(like I do at Christmas time) The wait is killing me!
