Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
I am VERY excited about getting out amongst the great outdoors, and meet new people along the way.
What is a good hourly rate to put on applications?
Also, where are the good places to get started?
Thanks in advance!
While I do not have any answers to your questions, I wanted to say hello.
I am hoping to join the ranks of the Older and Bolder crowd in 2016.
That will be the 100th Birth Year of our National Parks Systems!!
Will you be accepting housing in the dorm or using your own RV?
One thing I can tell you is that I found out a lot just talking to the seniors who
were working at Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. They all loved it.
If you can visit a national park, I would advise you to seek out the older
employees and just have a chat with them. Just doing that made me decide
that I wanted to join the Older and Bolder group!
Good Luck! Will you be working the 2015 Season?
I would probably be accepting housing in the dorm. I know there is a huge learning curve, and learn as you go, and chatting with others is by far the most reliable source.
I am only 54 and I am not retiring by a long shot, BUT I so tired of the mundane low paying jobs. Here in Austin it is just getting worse because of the amount of people moving here.
I am hoping to start this season but it might not happen until Spring or Summer of next year. Maybe I will get lucky, and get to work the holiday's. Good luck to you too!!
