Ernie maybe a different park would be better suited for you and your wife at a lower elevation. as Mike said Don't judge all parks, I have done this for 11 years in Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon plus Two resorts. Every place, every year is different, some years are really great and then theres years like this one. it just didn't mix well. You might look into a small resort instead and then work your way up from there.

I thank you for that. I've gone to parks for years and talked to so many employees who were all very positive people. I want to try again with another company, perhaps in Yellowstone or Tetons.

Ernie, don't judge all parks by what you saw at the NR. I had a great time at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge in '08. I intend to keep going to the National Parks.

Mike its actually good to here from you. You left at a good time. I left probably around the end of September and stayed in Tucson AZ for a few weeks visiting family then flew out here to Ohio and this is were I have been ever since. Ya know whats sad about the NR is it's such a beautiful location but this years staff just didn't work out so great.

Turnover isn't the word actually. The whole location was practically new save a few of us here and there. It was pretty sad to see. Killeah went back to school so yeah as Andrea said she left early. So did I though. Danielle stayed, but even Ms Patty from the HR left early. This year just turned out really bad for some reason and I can't bwelieve the work load they actually gave you. They didn't do that in 08. As far as Ron and Reese yeah they left. Ron had some problems I guess with Danielle and one other person and the situation just got worse so Ron quit forcing Reece to leave also.

Hi Andrea. Give me an update on yourself. Would you work for the NR again?
Andrea Comment by Andrea on November 5, 2009 at 11:54am
Hi, Mike! Missed you after you left. I'm not Brenda, but I do know that Kileah left in early August. There did seem to be quite a bit of turnover after you left.
Mike Thomason Comment by Mike Thomason on November 5, 2009 at 11:43am
Hi Brenda.
Was there quite a bit of turnover at the NR after I left in June. I understand Ron and Reece Michaels left in August. Did Danielle and Killeah work thru till the end. I missed the NR after I left but I could not keep up the work schedule I was keepng. Let me know how the season ended for you.

Ernie If you ever stopped in the general store you can be asured u seen me. I probably seen ya around at one point.

Andrea that don't suprise me 08 season that was at least happening every couple of nights. Not fun either, but I had a night job when I first arrived so didn't matter to me. I would stand out there watching the little sleepy heads drag there grumpy butts out the door, complaining all the way. Rather amusing on my end. Yeah thats why I didn 't know them because I worked all the way at the store. we were the lost step children over there.
