He owns many things including sports teams like the Lakers and a soccer team (brought Beckham over) and a hockey team and a movie studio and Regal Cinemas and a few newspapers and some energy/oil and about a hundred other things.

Comment by Brenda on November 4, 2009 at 9:12pm: Rex has houseboats aswell as properties all over the world including Africa and Brazil. He owns companies that produce Aloe products and I guess honey. His houseboats run into the millions. What is Anschutz? never heard of that. When I started with them years ago they were Amfac and befor that they were fred harvey, then they finally changed to Xanterra but as far as I know no matter what name they decided on its always been the same company to me.

Comment by Keith Larson on November 4, 2009 at 8:27pm: Aramark is about 5 times the size of Delaware North if you look at the entire business. Xanterra was actually the smallest of the three until Anschutz bought it. And it's hard to tell just how big Rex Maughan (Forever Resorts) is.

Comment by Brenda on November 4, 2009 at 8:04pm: But you never know look at the North Rim of the grand canyon, up untill last year Xanterra had that property, then Forever swept in and bam they got it. Out the door Xanterra went. Forever Resorts is not a tiny company there pretty decent size and they are moving up, because they just won the contract again from Xanterra to operate Bryce, but there still not as big just yet as Xanterra and DNC

Comment by aggie71 on November 4, 2009 at 6:55pm: I am pretty sure both Aramark and Delaware North will be going after Xanterra's business in Yellowstone next year. It will be interesting to watch all the NPS sucking up that is bound to be going on over the next few months.
