Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
Aloha from the Big Island,
I'm tired of living in a stick house and I'm selling and gearing up for full-timing. I've done it before on Maui with no animals and thus no problems, so I have no worries I will survive.
My first question is, are you allowed to have animals at any of the employee RV spaces at the various parks etc.?
Second and very important question is what do you do with your animals while you go work your 8 hours, go hiking etc.?
My research has lead me to believe at most park settings you may not leave your animals inside or outside unattended???
I understand that the majority of full-timers are probably retired and may only need to leave their RV for short amounts of time.
Currently I have 2 dogs and a cat that I leave at home in a fenced environment for many hours sometimes with the dogs barking at passer-byes as they should as good watch/guard dogs.
I have read about the portable fences and I was wondering if those are used frequently and if they are allowed in the employee spaces.
I have no desire to give up my full-timer plans or my animals, please lend some advice.
Thanks Keith, that's very true. So what do the workers do with their animals?, I suppose they keep them inside their RV all day, which I read can be done if the animals don't bark and the ventialtion is controlled.
Another question I have is regarding the availability of bathrooms and showers near the employee sites, as I have an RV without a shower or toilet (have port-a-potty)?
