Well, I'm thinking about working at the Ocean reef Club in Key West, FL becuase I don't think I'd like to go where it's cold for the winter brrrr! I'd rather go where it's warm as well. It looks nice so I think i'll give it a try :)
Anyone else considering working there?

Most guest ranches have free room and board. There are many in Montana, quite a few near Yellowstone. Also several good ones in the Dubois, Wyoming area. Probably more in Colorado...Durango-Mancos areas and also near Rocky Mtn NP.

Wonderful, thanks Becky! I checked out the website and it does look gorgeous! Ideally we are looking for a place with free room and board, however, if you gotta pay this place looks perfect! Thanks again!

Whitney, have y'all been to Wyoming? Signal Mountain Lodge is the most awesome place I've ever worked ~ it's in a beautiful setting in the Tetons, expenses are all included, it was $80 / week in '07 for room, food, wi-fi, laundry, and all sorts of other amenities. They really value their employees, making sure everyone's well-fed and has plenty of opportunities to have fun. Try 'em!

Looking for a great place my hubby and I can make a few bucks and friends, next summer. Any suggestions? We are looking for cheap to free room and board, reasonable working conditions, good people (we are in our late 20's,) and a gorgeous setting...done AK, Maine and Italy...thinking Cali, Colo, Vermont, Montana, NC...any suggestions are appreciated! Peace...

Hello Seasonal Addicts I am glad to see everyone is having a good summer and already thinking about there next adventure, how fast time flies. Its already time to start searching for that winter job. I am thinking about going to Rancho De Los Carbellos in AZ for the winter. But would also be good if I could find something in California and establish residencty for school there.

I have been at Coldfoot Camp for almost three months and it is going pretty well. The scenery is amazing, this is a great place to come work if you want to get away from it all ( you dont mind being in the middle of nowhere) The crowd up here is pretty cool and we are always making up game nights, poetry readings, and river adventures.

I hope everyone else is having a great summer , let me know if you have any ideas for a warm winter job!!

~Peace

oh yeah I am willing to work anywhere; dining, housekeeping, office, I just would rather work with the horses.

I'm thinking of hiking the Florida Trail, is that crazy for my winter "job"?
