Yeah, we are closed. I leave tomorrow for MN and there is snow on the way later in the week. Good thing about the snow, hopefully will knock out the forest fire.

I decided maybe it'd be better to put this on here. For those of you who have worked at Grant Village either last summer or this, there is a good chance you may remember George, one of the dining room managers. Unfortunately, George was found dead Saturday morning.

The time has come...my gig is up. My store closed yesterday at noon, and I left my dorm this morning. Waiting in Jackson Hole to pick up my brother-in-law for a week of fly fishing before leaving YNP for Texas. I will post a summer wrap up blog when I get home around September 21.

@Janice Ball - I like the small stores at Roosevelt and Bridge Bay. You get to learn all the various jobs involved in running a store, with less pressure, and closer relations with co-workers and management. Bridge Bay has the best view for cashiers....you are looking directly at the Bay and all the boats. These jobs are not easy to get, but it is worth asking DNC's HR department about them.

depends on what you are looking to do?
i work for deaware north co in the canyon area
dnc has the general stores and they have cashiers, stockers, servers(s great 50's style diner and many other jobs. xanterra has tons of jobs to.i like living in the canyon you are central to most everything.
will you live in the dorms? rv ? lots of options have fun
