Reports about Yellowstone bears, wolves, and birds published online

Yellowstone National Park recently published online three reports from 2018 about bear management, wolves, and birds. Each annual report focuses largely on the health of these wildlife populations.

Yellowstone visitation statistics for September 2019

Yellowstone hosted 693,118 visits in September 2019. This is a 4.3 percent decrease from September 2018. So far in 2019, the park has hosted 3,807,814 visits, down 1.4 percent from the same period last year.

Yellowstone to conduct prescribed fire to restore native vegetation

Yellowstone wildland fire staff will conduct a 16-acre prescribed fire on one day between October 16-24, weather dependent.

   i am coming toi work there  on  04 /23 2015   firswt time in yellow stone  at old faithful inn  as   a bartender   what i  do for dorms   should  i  drive   or is there  other ways to get around

Haha. Well at least it sounds fancy! They could have told me I would be the equivalent of a Walmart greeter out there and I would have been fine with it.

Yep...server assistant is the "PC" term for busboy. I'm not 100% sure what to expect as I have never worked in a restaurant before. Seems like I will be clearing and setting tables, helping the servers refill drinks and bring out large orders. Basically being one step behind the servers making sure their evening runs smoothly.

Hey Elizabeth, yeah you'll check in in Gardiner so I guess I'll see you there! What the heck is a server assistant anyways? Is it like a hybrid host/food runner/busser?

Hey Jason, I haven't gotten my contract yet (I'm a current Xanterra employee and they send them via snail mail to us!) but I have a May 2 check in date for OFI so I imagine it will be in Gardiner as well! I will be working in the dining room as a server assistant! First season at YNP!
