Took a trip from Gardiner out to Tower and Lamar in the late afternoon and evening yesterday. Traffic is picking up but it's still pretty mellow, wonderfully green, and it was a cool, overcast, moody evening.
Saw 3 bears, LOTS of bison calves on Little America Flats just before Slough Creek, felt the rumble of the Lamar squeezing through Lamar Canyon, and Lamar Valley had that whole open valley-wildlife mecca thing going on.
Ended up at the KBar - not real busy - but didn't know a soul. Fresh faces behind the counter and non-locals at the tables and bar. The show begins.
More fresh snow on the peaks overnight. Electric is looking all clean and shiny this morning. Take a peek at
before it melts.
What's the vibe in the rest of the park?
