Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
There is a chance I'm going to be offered a position to work year round in the Mammoth Hot Springs area. I'm wondering if anybody can clue me into what the living situation is like for full time employees. I've already beent through college and not that interested in doing dorm living again. :)
I'm thinking the best option is to rent outside the park.
Any bit of info is helpful.
to me, mammoth was like dorm living
I liked living there. to me, it was like going back to college
But you could rent in gardiner and I know ppl that did that
Yeah I'm not sure I need another college experience. (might be too old for that i dunno) renting in Gardiner seems more likely.
but its very expensive to live in gardiner unless u get an roomate and your never to old for anything
Not sure if your questions have been answered yet, and I have no personal experience with living at Yellowstone (yet!) but I found this blog quite some time ago and she lives (lived?) at Mammoth so maybe you could glean some info. http://robyninyellowstone.blogspot.com/
The blog appears to have been inactive for about a year, but maybe if you read through some older postings, something will come to light to give you insight into living in the area.
Good luck with your new position!
