Medcor operates the clinics in Yellowstone. Some locations have one (Old faithful does, Mammoth does, not sure about Lake or Canyon. I don't think Grant or Roosevelt have one.) A deduction is taken from each paycheck. When I was there it was about 8 bucks per bi-weekly paycheck. This just covers the overhead of the clinic as far as I know...you'd still have to pay for medications, services, etc. But the costs for those is far less than in the outside world.... however, they do not have full doctor/emergency services. If you need to be evac'd out to an actual hospital, they can helicopter you out....very expensive... The services at Medcor are quite basic... medicine if you catch a nasty cold or etc. More questions? I'd ask the people that did your hiring.

Thanks Kate. I did e-mail them, and everything you said was correct, and it is indeed minimal cost , and does not replace regular health insurance, more just a subsidy while in the park.
