All the dorm rooms are basically identical to dorm rooms in most other places - a blank room with two beds and some old furniture. lol I have a pic of a room in Laurel, but not the other dorms. There are pics of the dorms themselves (exterior) if you want to see them. Just let me know.

Thanks Pat. I don't mind a walk. Have been stuck in some not so nice dorms before. I can't seem to find any where that has posted pics of any dorm rooms. That always helps to get the feel of what you might except.

Janice, you may be assigned to the Laurel Dorm, which is right behind the Inn. It is one of the oldest dorms in the park. Or you might be assigned to one of the newer dorms across the main road in the government area. I believe they'll let you request a dorm if they have space available in it when you show up. The disadvantage of the dorms in the government area is that you have a decent walk to work every day, but they are much nicer than Laurel, so it's worth it in my opinion.

Janice, do you know which location you'll be working at at OF (The Inn, Lodge, or Snow Lodge)? There are different dorms/housing for each.

Hi everyone. I will taking a position at Old Faithful in Yellowstone this summer. Have worked for Xanterra in past put never Yellowstone, and believe me can't wait. Questions though, where and how are the dorms there? Just would like heads up on what to expect and look for. Anyone that has worked there before or now would love to hear from. I do plan to drive from Maryland so will have my truck. I am 56 and don't feel or probably act it, so up for a lot. Dorms aren't just the issue it sometimes the roommate. I can't say I've had the best roomy in the past , but can hope. Thanks all
