Hi Everyone, just got back from an overnight camping trip and it was awesome. The site was located on a lake, and I rambled through West Yellowstone as well. Had my first bison burger, not as good as the cooks do them in the EDR. Hey, cooks, we rock. Was an absolute pleasure meeting you Jason. Hope we can hike together sometime. Take care coolworkers!

As much as I enjoy cooking at the OF Inn, I still love enjoying my days off. Went to West today, the headed to Grant, for those of you who might be interested in frisbee golfing, there is even some of that out here. I topped off the day with a dusk walk of the OF boardwalk ust in time to see Old Faithful go off again. Tomorrow I am supposed to go into Mammoth to hike a Beaver Trail, its supposed to be about an 8-9 mile hike, and (like the rest of the park) its supposed to be georgous. Cant wait. Hope everyone else is making the best of their days both on and off of work.

Nancy...you're a funny (and fun) lady :-) Quick trip report #2....1328 miles down, roughly 672 miles to go. Staying at the Ramada in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I would give ya the score of Nancy's ballgame, but she did not tell me who was playing.

Doh! Adam got beat by Kris??? That program just started here on the west coast. I guess I'll stay with the baseball game. Don't tell me who wins that, OK???

Quick trip report ... 700 miles down, roughly 1300 miles to go. Staying at the Days Inn in Wichita Kansas....and most importantly to most of you Kris edged out Adam as this year's American Idol...Whoopdedoodoo.

ok 1. The snow is still here but only a little and is melting a a very rapid pace due to the last 4 days of 70 degree weather!
2. I know that Grant and Canyon aren't quite open yet but all the general stores are open... even at Lake.
3. I can't wait to meet these prime time employees we keep hearing about but the cooks seem to be holding their own! At least in OF!
4. Good luck getting a Mid-rare! LOL why do they cook everything mid-well??? LOL
5. Cold beer is a plenty! Lets have one!

OK gang .... I leave on Wednesday morning bright and early. I got the transmission fluid replaced and new belts on the ole truck and it's ready to go. Just wanted to check with y'all to make sure you have everything ready for me. (1) Has the snow melted after I sent you warm Texas weather? (2) Have ya got all them stores setup so all I got to do is say "Howdy, Welcome to Yellowstone"? (3) Have all you cooks had plenty of practice on the ginea pigs-the prime time employees are about to arrive :-) (4) Speaking of food I like my steaks medium rare, my eggs over easy, and I much prefer sourdough toast (but I'm not a picky eater hahahaha) (5) For you bartenders - I like COLD beer (which shouldn't be an issue-just set it outside at night!) If I think of anything else I'll let ya know ... see ya next week.
