Living & Working in Great Places
It's nearly summertime, and if you've got JOBS IN GREAT PLACES® - you've got a HUGE summer ahead, filled with the wonder and magic that the rest of us try to pack into our one week vacations. We wish we could've packed ourselves in your suitcases. We wish that we could apply for that last crew position that you have on your roster, yet to be filled. But we're happy and excited at the next best thing - a front row seat to the great adventures from the start of your summer season.
We are excited to announce the #CoolWorksJobs Kickoff to Summer Photo Contest! May 22nd through June 1st, 2106.
There are great prizes to be won, check out all the details here: GO TO CONTEST
CoolWorks.com has been central to the summer job and seasonal job market niche since 1995! We are an old-timer in web years, but we have a youthful, energetic, older and bolder spirit.
What kinds of jobs can I find on your site?
We have a dedicated core of job seekers who use Cool Works to actively seek job opportunities in great places like national parks, various resorts, ranches, camps, ski resorts, and jobs on the water. They also seek volunteer and conservation corps opportunities to help better our world. We're proud of the employers who utilize our site and are always on the lookout for others who fit our niche.
Where are you located?
The Cool Works® "home office" is located on the Yellowstone River just outside the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Bill is in the Yellowstone office, Eric and Patty are in Helena, Montana, Kathi is in Arizona, and Kari is in Everett, Washington, Ker'en is in Pennsylvania, and Kelcy is in Colorado. "Cool Works" of varying sorts have touched all of our lives and we love it when our job seekers share their stories from seasonal jobs that have changed their lives.
How many people work for Cool Works?
We are a small, but mighty team of seven - Bill, Eric, Patty, Kelcy, Ker'en, and Kari (aka Q), and seated in front, Kathi. This photo was taken on Monterey Peninsula in late 2013. We get together as a team about once a year and talk weekly about how we can make the site, CoolWorks.com, work better for all of you.
How can I connect with other job seekers?
My Cool Works is our primary social network for those who want to compare and share their work and life experiences in great places. We set up this network in 2007 to allow our "tribe" to talk amongst themselves about the jobs, the parks, the great places where you can work. For those keeping track, this network was born out of the old Forums that could once be found on our site.
My CW Members can add photos, blogs, videos, forum discussions, and even plan ride-shares to their summer jobs. On Monday evenings through the fall, winter and early spring, we host weekly chats on a variety of topics that help you get, keep or better prepare you for your summer job. Join us Mondays at 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific by typing your thought into the box and hitting enter. We love to chat!
Are there other ways I can follow / like Cool Works?
